This is brilliant: Kevin Pearce

Christian name/surname monikers and photos of acoustic guitars usually have us running a mile, but Kevin Pearce has just shown us how bloody silly we are to think like that. We've been looking for ages for something that's relatively new and has got us really, REALLY excited, and this could well be it.

Musically we're thinking Tom Baxer/Tom McRae mixed with the electronic sensibilities of something Kitsuné might put out. Miike Snow is the closest thing we can think of that's been around recently (perhaps he could go one 'i' better and think about Keviiin Pearce as a more exciting name).

The production on this is super smart, and combined with Pearce's interesting lyrics and assured vocals it's got us preparing a ritual sacrifice to the dark lord of music in thanks.

There are four tracks on his soundcloud, and these two are our favourite, but the other two are great as well (they're just a little bit slower/less electronic on the production). How often do you find a new artist with more than one good song? Hardly ever, that's how often:
