Emeli Sande is one of those people whose name usually has the prefix 'featuring' when it's written on CD sleeves / MP3 artwork. She's an amazing singer who's stood in for Angela Hunte during Magnetic Man's amazing BBC session and sung on Top Ten hits for Chipmunk and Wiley - as well as provided vocals for Tinie Tempah and Devlin.
But now it's her turn to stun us with solo material. And she really does with new track 'Heaven', a drum'n'bass meets gospel (Friday nights meet Sunday mornings) pop giant. It's a spine tingling track that showcases an enormous vocal talent while at the same time ticking all the good boxes in modern urban music - ie, it's nothing like the Pitbull single.
We love this.
